History & culture

The festivities include religious proceedings since its origins come partly from the catholic church, However they have also adopted elements from African culture. The Fiestas Patronales are usually held on the main plaza of each town they include parades, games food and live Intertainment. This festivities are a place where people of that town can show the culture and history of the town.

In the Christmas season it is specially active, the local cuisine, music, joy and good wishes makes this season prolonged from December to the 6th of January.
