10 minutes from the Hacienda El Jibarito

In the year of 1752 in a huge valley protected by mountains and feed by the rivers Culebrinas and Guatemala there arose a town named San Sebastian and nicknamed el Pepino.
Without a question its geographical location and economic conditions were the inspiration. The rovers Culebrinas and Guatemala provided the sustenance, clean water 365 days a year this also made this valley very fertile and permitted the growth of many agricultural products.
Part of the process of officially declaring themselves a town they had to submit to the government a petition off foundation one of the requirements to meet this town status was that they had to build a church and pay a salary to the priest.
In the year 1759 they completed their first temple.
